Fulton County and Clayton County, Georgia

College Park websites for Fulton and Clayton County trades

College Park takes occupation tax applications online only, through SagesGov, with a $150 inspection and zoning review fee and a $75 administrative fee.

Online-only licensing

College Park sits in both Fulton County and Clayton County, and the city's own instructions reflect that: food businesses get a permit from either the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness or the Clayton County Health Department, depending on location. The occupation tax itself is a city matter, run from City Hall at 3667 Main Street.

Step one is an online application on SagesGov with the license fee, a $150 inspection and zoning review fee and a $75 nonrefundable administrative fee. You need ID and proof of ownership or a rental agreement. In-office applications are not accepted, and mailed checks and renewals are no longer taken.

Zoning reviews the location next and emails you through the portal if it is denied. Once zoning approves, you call 404-669-3766 to schedule building and fire inspections, which happen Mondays and Thursdays only. After both pass, ask the office to release the certificate and post it where customers can see it.

Business licenses expire December 31, renewals open December 1, and they are late on April 1. Notarized SAVE and E-Verify affidavits are required. The city also suggests calling the City Planner before signing a lease.
