Assisted living website design & SEO in North Carolina
The page-per-place model that brought a Florida business buyers from six states, North Carolina included, now built city by city for North Carolina owners, starting where licensed homes are most concentrated.
How we did it
One page for every place people search
For All Pro Restroom Trailers, a Florida dealer, we built a national sales engine: a page for every state plus DC, and a page for each major city. Buyers started finding it on their own.
The standout: the Maryland Jockey Club found All Pro through its Maryland page and requested a formal $32,499 quote. Corporate procurement interest also came from Mallory Safety / OMNIA Partners.
Results from our All Pro Restroom Trailers project (allprorestroomtrailers.com). Inquiries are quote requests, not closed sales.
North Carolina families search the same way, town by town. So we started with the cities that hold the most licensed adult care and family care homes, from Raleigh and Charlotte to Durham and Burlington, and gave each one its own page.
Why North Carolina is different
What North Carolina owners should show online
The state's listings show 566 licensed adult care homes (36,201 beds) and 520 family care homes (2,927 beds). Source: NC DHSR Adult Care Licensure Section facility listings, as of October 2026, read Nov 1, 2026
Adult care or family care home
The Division of Health Service Regulation licenses adult care homes (seven or more beds) and family care homes (two to six residents). Families search "assisted living," so your site should use both terms and say which license you hold.
Special care units
Dementia care inside an adult care home is licensed as a special care unit. If you have one, it belongs on your site; if you don't, your site shouldn't imply one.
Special Assistance families
State-County Special Assistance helps eligible low-income residents pay room and board in licensed homes that accept it, through the county DSS. A short, accurate note answers a common question.
Families moving in from elsewhere
The Triangle, Charlotte, Asheville and the coast keep drawing newcomers and retirees. Your site does the explaining before anyone visits.
North Carolina city pages
Website design by city, densest areas first
We chose cities by the number of licensed adult care and family care homes at that city's addresses in the state's listings, then grouped them by region.

The design
Built on our Assisted Living (Premium) template
Every city page links to a fictional sample home built on the Assisted Living (Premium) template (STH-ALF-031). See the original fictional sample, Willowmere Assisted Living, our assisted living website design overview, or the South Carolina, Georgia and Florida city pages.
Owner Q&A
Questions North Carolina owners ask
Why build a separate page for each North Carolina city?
Families search by place, like "assisted living Raleigh" or "family care home Durham." A page for each city you serve gives Google a clear match, the same structure that brought our All Pro client buyers from six states.
What's the difference between an adult care home and a family care home?
Both are licensed by the NC Division of Health Service Regulation's Adult Care Licensure Section. DHSR licenses both adult care homes (seven or more beds) and family care homes (two to six residents). Your site should use the term that matches your license, alongside "assisted living," which families search for.
Do we need to mention a special care unit?
North Carolina licenses special care units for residents with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias inside adult care homes. If you have one, say so plainly; if you don't, your site shouldn't imply a memory care unit.
How should we mention State-County Special Assistance?
Special Assistance is a cash supplement that helps eligible low-income residents pay room and board in licensed adult care and family care homes that accept it. Eligibility is decided by the county Department of Social Services, and recipients are automatically eligible for Medicaid. If you accept it, a short accurate note helps; we never claim participation you don't have.
Is a listing on a referral directory enough?
Referral directories share each family with several homes. Your own website is where families learn about you directly, and it's the link Google shows on your Business Profile.
What does it cost?
Website plans start at $24.99 a month with no setup fee and no long-term commitment. Hosting, basic SEO and up to 10 published edits a month are included, requested right from your phone.
