Assisted living website design & SEO in Indiana

City pages for Indiana residential care facilities, starting with the 29 cities where the Indiana Department of Health directory lists three or more licensed homes, from Indianapolis and Fort Wayne to Mishawaka, Evansville and the Lake Michigan shore.

How it started

A page for every place, tested in another industry first

We built this structure for All Pro Restroom Trailers, a Florida dealer: a page for each state plus DC and a page for each major city, so a buyer searching anywhere found a page about their own area.

7quote requests within 8 weeks
289pages built (234 for cities, 51 state hubs)
6buyer locations: FL, NC, TX, AL, MD and DC

The best-known result: the Maryland Jockey Club found All Pro on its Maryland page and requested a formal $32,499 quote, and Mallory Safety / OMNIA Partners reached out about corporate purchasing.

Figures from our All Pro Restroom Trailers project (allprorestroomtrailers.com). Inquiries were quote requests, not closed sales.

People choosing care in Indiana search the same way, by city and by county. So the Indiana pages start where the state directory is busiest.

Indiana specifics

What an Indiana residential care facility should make clear

The Department of Health's statewide directory of free-standing residential care facilities lists 228 licensed homes. Source: Indiana Department of Health, Residential Care Facility Directory (statewide, free-standing), posted Oct 22, 2026, read Nov 1, 2026

Licensed, or not

Indiana requires a residential care facility license when a home administers prescribed medication or provides residential nursing care. Homes that offer only room, meals and light help do not need it. Say which describes you.

Housing with services

State law defines a housing with services establishment by the number of residents and the health related or supportive services it offers. Keep your site's description consistent with how your home is actually set up.

PathWays and Health and Wellness

Both Medicaid waivers include an assisted living service for eligible members in certified homes. The rate covers care, not room and board, which the resident pays within a state cap. A short, accurate note handles the question.

Same-name cities

Columbus, Greenwood, Franklin, Anderson, Carmel and others share names with cities elsewhere. Your page and profile need "Indiana" and your county so Google shows you to the right people.

Common questions

What Indiana owners ask us

Why build a page for every Indiana city?

People search by town: "assisted living Mishawaka" or "memory care Carmel," not "assisted living Indiana." A page for each place you serve gives Google an exact match. That structure brought our All Pro client quote requests from six states.

When does an Indiana home need a residential care facility license?

Under the Indiana Department of Health's rules, a health facility that provides residential nursing care or administers medications prescribed by a physician must be licensed as a residential care facility. A facility that offers only room, meals, laundry, activities, housekeeping and limited help with daily activities, without administering medication or providing residential nursing care, does not need that license. Say plainly which you are.

What is a housing with services establishment?

Indiana law defines it as an establishment with sleeping accommodations for at least five residents that offers, for a fee, at least one regularly scheduled health related service or at least two regularly scheduled supportive services. If that describes your home, make sure your site's wording matches how you are set up.

Can we mention Indiana's Medicaid waivers?

Indiana's PathWays for Aging Waiver (age 60 and older) and Health and Wellness Waiver (59 and younger, formerly the Aged and Disabled Waiver) both include an assisted living service. The service rate does not include room and board, which the resident pays, and a provider may not charge a Medicaid-eligible resident more than the maximum federal SSI amount for a studio after the resident keeps a personal needs allowance. Mention the waivers only if you are certified and enrolled; we never claim participation you don't have.

Do referral directories cover it?

Referral sites send each family to several homes at once. Your own site is where people hear from you directly, and it is the link Google shows on your Business Profile.
