Assisted living website design & SEO in Missouri

City pages for Missouri assisted living and residential care facilities, starting with the 29 cities where the state directory lists five or more licensed homes, from St. Louis and Kansas City to Springfield, Farmington and Cape Girardeau.

How it started

A page for each place, proven in another industry

We built this structure for All Pro Restroom Trailers, a Florida dealer: a page for each state plus DC and a page for each major city, so a buyer searching anywhere found a page about their own area.

7quote requests in 8 weeks
289pages: 234 for cities and 51 state hubs
6buyer locations: FL, NC, TX, AL, MD and DC

The best-known result: the Maryland Jockey Club found All Pro on its Maryland page and requested a formal $32,499 quote, and Mallory Safety / OMNIA Partners reached out about corporate purchasing.

Figures from our All Pro Restroom Trailers project (allprorestroomtrailers.com). Inquiries were quote requests, not closed sales.

People choosing care in Missouri search the same way, by city and by county, so the Missouri pages start where the state directory is busiest.

Missouri specifics

What a Missouri assisted living or residential care facility should make clear

The DHSS directory lists 600 licensed homes in these two categories: 331 assisted living facilities and 269 residential care facilities, with 27,918 beds; 162 list an Alzheimer's special care unit. Source: Missouri DHSS Section for Long-Term Care Regulation, LTC Directory (assisted living and residential care facilities), updated Oct 30, 2026, read Nov 1, 2026

Use your license's name

Missouri law bars any home from advertising as assisted living without an assisted living license. A residential care facility's site should say residential care.

Three or more residents

Both licenses cover homes giving twenty-four-hour care and protective oversight to three or more unrelated residents. Assisted living adds help with daily activities and health care supervision under a social model.

Disclose services and costs

Assisted living facilities must tell prospective residents what services they provide or coordinate, what those cost, and what conditions would require a move. A clear website makes that easier.

Payment, accurately

Supplemental Nursing Care pays eligible MO HealthNet residents of licensed residential care and assisted living facilities a monthly cash amount toward facility fees. Describe it only as it applies.

Licensing sources: DHSS, Licensure and Certification; section 198.006 RSMo (definitions); section 198.073 RSMo (assisted living requirements, disclosures and advertising); DSS, Supplemental Nursing Care. Read Nov 1, 2026.

The template

Every example runs on Assisted Living (Premium)

Each city page links to an invented sample facility on the Assisted Living (Premium) template (STH-ALF-031). Common questions

What Missouri owners ask us

Why build a page for every Missouri city?

People search by town: "assisted living Cape Girardeau" or "memory care Lee's Summit," not "assisted living Missouri." A page for each place you serve gives Google an exact match. That structure brought our All Pro client quote requests from six states.

Who licenses assisted living in Missouri?

The Department of Health and Senior Services, Section for Long-Term Care Regulation, inspects and licenses residential care facilities, assisted living facilities, intermediate care facilities and skilled nursing facilities.

What counts as an assisted living facility in Missouri?

Under section 198.006 RSMo, an assisted living facility provides twenty-four-hour care, protective oversight, shelter and board to three or more residents, with help with daily activities, medication storage, distribution or administration, and supervision of health care under a physician, consistent with a social model of care. A residential care facility also serves three or more residents with twenty-four-hour care and protective oversight.

Can a residential care facility call itself assisted living online?

No. Section 198.073 RSMo says no entity may hold itself out or advertise as an assisted living facility without an assisted living license. Assisted living facilities must also disclose the services they provide or coordinate, their costs, and the conditions that would require a move. We write your site to match your license.

Can we mention Supplemental Nursing Care or MO HealthNet?

Accurately, yes. The Missouri Department of Social Services' Supplemental Nursing Care program gives eligible MO HealthNet participants in licensed residential care and assisted living facilities a monthly cash payment toward facility fees (up to $156 for residential care or $292 for assisted living) plus a $50 personal needs allowance. It is paid to the resident, so we never claim participation or coverage you don't have.
