Assisted living website design & SEO in Wisconsin
City pages for Wisconsin CBRFs, adult family homes and RCACs, starting with the 30 address cities where the state directories list the most assisted living facilities, from Milwaukee, Madison and Racine to Fort Atkinson, Brown Deer and Oconomowoc.
How it started
A page for every place, first tested in another industry
We built this structure for All Pro Restroom Trailers, a Florida dealer: a page for each state plus DC and a page for each major city, so a buyer searching anywhere landed on a page about their own area.
The best-known result: the Maryland Jockey Club found All Pro on its Maryland page and requested a formal $32,499 quote, and Mallory Safety / OMNIA Partners reached out about corporate purchasing.
Figures from our All Pro Restroom Trailers project (allprorestroomtrailers.com). Inquiries were quote requests, not closed sales.
People choosing care in Wisconsin search the same way, by city and by neighborhood, so the Wisconsin pages start where the state directories are busiest.
Wisconsin specifics
What a Wisconsin assisted living provider should make clear
The state directories list 4,373 assisted living facilities with a combined listed capacity of 61,735: 1,534 CBRFs, 2,479 licensed adult family homes and 360 RCACs. Source: Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Quality Assurance, assisted living directories (CBRF, adult family home and RCAC lists by address city; files dated July 20, 2026), read Nov 1, 2026
Name your license type
Wisconsin has three: adult family homes (3 or 4 residents), CBRFs (5 or more) and RCACs (independent apartments with services). Say which one you are on every page.
Small homes lead
Licensed adult family homes outnumber CBRFs statewide. If you serve four people, say so and show what a house setting is like.
Room and board, accurately
Family Care and IRIS do not cover room and board, and each has rules about which settings it allows. Mention them only if you contract with an MCO or serve IRIS participants.
Shared town names
Madison, Brookfield, Greenfield, Marshfield and Mount Pleasant all share names with places in other states. Use "WI" on your page and profile.
Licensing sources: Wis. Stat. 50.01 (adult family home, CBRF and RCAC definitions); DHS, Finding and Choosing an Assisted Living Facility (DQA regulates the three types); DHS, Assisted Living Licensure and Medicaid (registered vs. certified RCACs, 1-2 bed AFH certification, Family Care and IRIS settings, room and board); DHS, CBRF license (ch. DHS 83). Read Nov 1, 2026.
Wisconsin city pages
Website design by city, busiest markets first
Cities are ranked by how many assisted living facilities the DHS directories list at that address city (count in parentheses), then grouped by region. Villages such as Mount Pleasant, Menomonee Falls and Brown Deer are counted on their own. One- and two-bed adult family homes are certified locally and are not in these directories.

The template
Every example runs on Assisted Living (Premium)
Each city page links to an invented sample home on the Assisted Living (Premium) template (STH-ALF-031). Common questions
What Wisconsin owners ask us
Why build a page for every Wisconsin city?
People search by town: "adult family home Racine" or "memory care Green Bay," not "assisted living Wisconsin." A page for each place you serve gives Google an exact match. That structure brought our All Pro client quote requests from six states.
Who regulates assisted living in Wisconsin?
The Department of Health Services, Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), licenses or certifies three kinds of assisted living: adult family homes, community-based residential facilities (CBRFs) and residential care apartment complexes (RCACs).
What is a CBRF?
Under Wis. Stat. 50.01(1g), a place where 5 or more unrelated adults live and receive care, treatment or services above the level of room and board, including no more than 3 hours of nursing care per week per resident. CBRFs are licensed under Wis. Admin. Code ch. DHS 83.
What is an adult family home?
Under Wis. Stat. 50.01(1)(b), a place where 3 or 4 unrelated adults live and receive care above room and board, which may include up to 7 hours of nursing care per week per resident. These are licensed under ch. DHS 88. One- and two-bed homes are certified separately by a managed care organization, county agency or IRIS.
What is an RCAC?
Under Wis. Stat. 50.01(6d), a residential care apartment complex has independent apartments for 5 or more adults, each with a lockable entrance, kitchen with stove and private bathroom, and provides no more than 28 hours a week of supportive, personal and nursing services. Registered RCACs serve only private-pay tenants; certified RCACs may also serve publicly funded tenants.
Can we say we accept Family Care or IRIS?
Only if it is true. DHS says Family Care and IRIS do not cover room and board. Family Care members can live in a CBRF, adult family home or certified RCAC, but only with providers in their MCO's network; IRIS does not allow CBRFs or registered RCACs. We never claim a contract you do not have.
